This pivotal role involves overseeing complex legal support operations across multiple practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, corporate litigation, and more. As a Lead Paralegal, you will coordinate legal research, manage case files, and support attorneys in drafting legal documents while ensuring compliance with procedural law and confidentiality standards. Your leadership will drive efficiency, accuracy, and excellence in all legal administrative functions, empowering our team to deliver exceptional service to clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of paralegals and legal support staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. Manage comprehensive case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, maintaining meticulous records of legal documents, correspondence, and case progress. Conduct detailed legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other resources across diverse practice areas including civil litigation, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and more. Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, client correspondence, and procedural filings with precision and clarity. Coordinate project management efforts for complex litigation cases or transactional matters involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines. Assist attorneys with client communication by preparing summaries and updates while handling confidential information with utmost discretion. Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, scheduling interviews or meetings, managing document review processes, and maintaining procedural law compliance. Utilize software tools like Microsoft Office Suite (Word processing), Law office management systems (e.g., iManage), legal research platforms (Westlaw), and document review systems to streamline workflows. Experience Proven paralegal experience supporting diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, civil litigation, family law, securities law, patent law, tribal regulations or related fields. Demonstrated expertise in legal research techniques using Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with procedural law is essential. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in document handling and case management. Proficiency in legal drafting—including contracts and litigation documents—and client communication skills are required. Experience with legal administrative support functions such as filing systems (digital and physical), data entry accuracy, transcription services, proofreading documents for errors or inconsistencies. Familiarity with legal support software including PCLaw for billing or case management purposes; knowledge of iManage for document management is highly desirable.
