Job Description

Paralegal North Dartmouth, MA 02747 From $25 an hour - Full-time From $25 an hour - Full-time Job Summary The paralegal should have previous experience working in a small, busy law office or similar office. Specific experience in estate planning, trust administration, probate and real estate is helpful. The paralegal will be responsible for or will assist in a wide range of tasks in the office, including the following: Assisting staff attorneys with court, Registry of Deeds or other administrative filings Completing legal forms and documents under the direction of a staff attorney Maintaining client files, familiarity with client issues and interacting with clients Assisting the Receptionist as needed with the following: phone answering and message taking, making client appointments, maintaining the office calendar and generally assisting in the management of daily office affairs This is a full-time in-office position with a work week of 33.25 hours. A one hour unpaid lunch period is scheduled Mon-Thurs with work hours 8:45 - 5:00; Friday work hours are 8:45 - 1:00 without a lunch break. Individual health insurance is offered as is paid accrued vacation and sick time Pertinent experience is preferred over any professional degree, but an Associates Degree or higher is a plus Other required skills or traits include Comfort, respect and composure in interacting with the public and other staff members Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Maintenance of professional dreww and appearance Ability to work independently without constant supervisory oversight
