Job Description
- The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and legal support across corporate, regulatory, licensing, compliance, and litigation matters.
- Maintain legal records, prepare documentation, and track deadlines to ensure efficient legal department operations.
- Conduct basic legal research and support legal matter administration for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with vendors, government agencies, and external counsel to support compliance and licensing activities.
- Ensure accurate and organized documentation using approved templates and processes.
- Contribute to the legal team's success by managing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality in all legal matters.
- Report directly to the General Counsel and support the department's operational goals.
- Conduct legal research and maintain compliance records for licensing and regulatory matters.
- Prepare and review legal forms, correspondence, and agreements using established templates.
- Track applications, renewals, and regulatory submissions to ensure timely compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to facilitate legal processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal files, corporate records, and department databases.
- Monitor legal deadlines and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Support litigation and compliance activities by coordinating document collection and tracking.
- Assist in preparing certifications and other legal documents as required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in legal assistant or related roles; 2 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, and document management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Paralegal certification is preferred.
- Professional collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
