Job Description

Paralegal
Qualifications & Experience:
  • The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of collections experience, preferably within Community Associations law in a law firm setting
  • Proven ability to manage a large, deadline-driven caseload with minimal supervision
  • Experience handling high-volume collections matters from referral through resolution, including communication with homeowners and property managers
  • Familiarity with collections procedures and applicable debt collection laws and regulations, including liens, judgments, and garnishments
  • Experience tracking accounts, payments, and deadlines using a case management system
  • Ability to accurately calculate balances, interest, late fees, and attorneys' fees
  • Proficiency in preparing legal correspondence and pleadings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with attorneys and staff
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
