Job Overview Rollins & Murray, P.A. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a diverse range of legal practices, including family law, estate planning, civil litigation, criminal law, and more. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to providing exceptional client service in a fast-paced legal environment. In this position, you will play a vital role in managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing administrative assistance to two (2) attorneys. This paid position is perfect for someone eager to develop their legal career in a fast-paced environment while making meaningful contributions to our clients' success. Salary is commensurate with experience. Duties Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Perform conflict checks for prospective clients and follow up with leads. Manage and maintain calendars for two attorneys. Electronically file documents with Maryland Courts. Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with attention to detail and accuracy. Handle confidential information with discretion while managing client communications professionally and effectively. Perform data entry tasks related to case files and maintain organized records for efficient retrieval. Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars and files, and proofreading documents. Retrieve bonds from insurance companies as needed. Run filings to the Register of Wills as needed. Experience Prior paralegal experience or legal support experience in a law office setting is preferred, but not required. Experience with probate and estate administration is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with document review and data entry skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
Pay:
$19.23 - $24.04 per hour
