Job Description

Overview A workers' compensation defense law firm based in Timonium, Maryland is seeking a Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join its team. The firm represents employers, self-insured employers, and insurance carriers in workers' compensation matters throughout Maryland and the surrounding region.

Timonium, MD Salary:
$60,000-$65,000 + benefits The role will involve: Assisting attorneys with the management of workers' compensation defense matters from inception through resolution Drafting and preparing legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials Managing case files, deadlines, hearing schedules, and litigation calendars Reviewing and organising medical records, wage records, and claim documentation Communicating with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, opposing counsel, and administrative agencies Supporting attorneys with hearing preparation, case strategy, and ongoing file management Assisting with electronic filings and maintaining accurate case records The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Workers' Compensation Paralegal or Legal Assistant, preferably within a defense practice Strong knowledge of workers' compensation procedures and claims management Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload Strong written and verbal communication skills A detail-oriented approach with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines effectively Experience reviewing medical records and handling litigation-related documentation is preferred The firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment, working closely with experienced attorneys on a broad range of workers' compensation matters. INDSUP Pay:
$59,754.06 - $67,144.68 per year
