The Prince George's County Department of Permitting, Inspections, & Enforcement is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Paralegal Supervisor grade G18 position in the Boards and Commissions Unit.
About the PositionThis position provides supervisory administrative and secretarial support to the Boards and Commission. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of administrative procedures and exercise mature judgment in following through on assignments. The incumbent is responsible for applying a broad knowledge of the functions of County Government, coordinates and manages office activities to fulfill varied responsibilities within the Director's Office. All work is performed under the supervision of an Administrative Specialist I that manages the Boards and Commission/Program.
About The AgencyThe Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) is responsible for coordinating and enforcing standards that control what goes on before, during, and after construction. Staff from nine agencies, who work cooperatively on permit processing, business licensing, plan review, inspection and enforcement comprise Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement. The Mission of the Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement is to promote economic development in Prince George's County and protect the safety of County residents, businesses, and visitors through efficient permitting, inspection and licensing services to ensure compliance with established building, zoning and property standards codes.

- Filing judicial review
- Preparing draft administrative court orders from virtual hearings
- Obtaining information from inside and outside agencies to prepare documents for hearings for 4 different boards
- Communication with the general public on a daily basis to provide informational request.
