Job Description

Job Summary Position Summary Established, collegial law firm seeking an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff while maintaining a professional and welcoming office environment. Competitive salary and benefits. Excellent opportunity for growth, including potential long-term transition into a paralegal position. Experience working in a law firm helpful, but not required, as we offer training. Perfect position for someone just out of school or with 1-3 years of experience. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist clients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner. Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls. Schedule appointments, consultations, meetings, and court-related deadlines. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, email, and document deliveries. Prepare, organize, scan, copy, and file legal documents. Maintain client files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Assist attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks and document preparation. Enter and update information in case management and billing systems. Coordinate conference rooms and office supplies. Process payments and assist with client invoicing as needed. Perform general office duties to support daily operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some postsecondary education preferred. Some previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or legal office experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Professional appearance and demeanor. Experience with legal software or law office procedures is a plus.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
