Paralegal/Legal Assistant Doerr MacWilliams Howard PLLC Ann Arbor, MI Job Details Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications High school diploma or GED Legal administrative experience Organizational skills Law office experience Time management Full Job Description Full-time paralegal/legal assistant needed in busy downtown Ann Arbor law firm. Preferred applicants will have 3-5 years of law firm experience, including litigation experience; however, highly organized, detail-oriented individuals are encouraged to apply. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Calendar and track filing deadlines and other important dates Learn and follow local, state and federal court rules Prepare pleadings, briefs, motions, etc. for filing and file in state and federal court Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials Attend depositions and trials as needed Interact with clients, courts, and opposing counsel by telephone and email, including client intake and assistance with scheduling Draft discovery and correspondence Assist with billing as needed Other general secretarial duties. This position primarily supports two attorneys, with possible, optional opportunities to perform additional hours for other attorneys in the office. Apply only through Indeed for consideration.
