Job Description

Litigation Legal Assistant - Full-Time Position Myers & Myers, PLLC — Livingston County, MI | Full-time Myers & Myers, PLLC, a real estate and business law firm serving clients throughout Michigan, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant. This is a hands-on role for a highly organized professional who understands and takes ownership of the details of a litigation practice. In our close-knit office, every team member has a meaningful impact on our clients and our work.
Responsibilities:
Format and file litigation documents (pleadings, motions, discovery) Manage e-filing in Michigan state and federal courts in compliance with court rules Maintain litigation calendars, tracking deadlines, hearings, statutes of limitation, and discovery cut-offs Open, organize, and maintain electronic and physical case files Coordinate scheduling of depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings Assist attorneys with discovery and trial preparation Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors
Qualifications:
Prior litigation experience in a law firm Working knowledge of Michigan and federal court procedures, including e-filing Exceptional organization and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, document management systems; experience with Clio a plus
