A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic individual to step in to our fast-paced, full-time Spanish Bilingual Paralegal position. This is an exceptional and challenging career opportunity to join our diversity-oriented global immigration law firm. Must be able to multitask and prioritize. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills. Must be able to communicate well with clients and superiors. Must be able to work independently and with a team. We offer competitive wages (DOQ) and benefits. This is not a temporary job and you should be looking for your long-term home. 1+ year of experience in related position/field preferred Proficiency with online case management systems preferred Associate degree or higher required Microsoft Office and Adobe experience required Spanish proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking preferred Job tasks includes but is not limited to: Client case management Legal research Communicating effectively with attorneys and clients Drafting legal documents Obtaining client documents Translating, transcribing, and interpreting Completing immigration forms Schedule meetings, interviews, and hearings Prioritize schedules
Starting Salary:
$21.50 - $28.50 per hour (depending on experience)
