Job Description

Doss Law Firm, PLLC is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support a busy litigation-focused practice. This role is best suited for a highly organized professional who can manage case support responsibilities across multiple matters while working closely with attorneys and support staff. We operate as a collaborative team and expect our paralegals to take an active role in coordinating workflow with legal secretaries and ensuring matters stay on track. Key Responsibilities Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal correspondence for attorney review Manage case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars across state and federal courts Assist with discovery, including document collection, organization, and review Prepare deposition materials, exhibits, and hearing notebooks Coordinate with clients, experts, co-counsel, and court personnel Oversee and effectively utilize legal secretary support for filings, scheduling, and document finalization Track and follow up on case-related tasks to ensure deadlines and obligations are met Qualifications Prior litigation paralegal experience required Proficiency in Microsoft Word (strong formatting skills expected) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional, reliable, and team-oriented Associate's or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Preferred Experience with Mississippi state and federal court procedures Formal paralegal training or certification Compensation Compensation commensurate with experience, expected range $45,000 - $65,000. Compensation is structured to reward performance, responsibility, and contribution within the role.
