Job Description

About Us:
KMM is a national litigation firm with a focus on insurance defense and transportation defense litigation. Knight MacKay Morrow is a formidable force in legal advocacy, with a dynamic team of 30+ attorneys specializing in 25+ areas of law. Operating from five strategic offices nationwide, we tackle the toughest cases and are prepared to go to trial to win for our clients.
Position Overview:
KMM is searching for two Legal Administrative Assistants who are looking for a new opportunity. If you are located in Missoula or Kansas City and enjoy organizing, prioritizing, and assisting in the legal process, please apply. Legal Assistants at KNM are part of the trial team managing and completing the non-billable tasks necessary to move a case forward. Additionally, LAAs assist with administrative tasks such as tracking CLE's, processing expenses, and managing calendars. You will be an important contributor to the success of the firm.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a legal secretary, defense litigation firm preferred.
  • Must have prior experience with litigation processes and be comfortable with the deadline driven nature of a litigation practice.
  • Exceptional organization skills, which include time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking.
  • manage multiple projects and meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to perform additional tasks as required.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and manage changing priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Mastery proofreading and editing skills.
Responsibilities:
Preparing correspondence and pleadings Calendaring E-Filing in state and federal courts Preparing trial documents Scanning and copying Scheduling meetings, depositions and making travel arrangements.
  • Assisting KMM's paralegals with follow up calls and medical requests.

Pay:
$26.00 - $29.90 per hour
