Job Overview Laird Cowley PLLC, A Montana law firm with offices in Missoula and Helena is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in various legal matters, including document preparation, research, and case management. This role requires strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures, particularly in areas such as Commercial Litigation, Insurance Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation, Construction Litigation and Professional Negligence. The Paralegal will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our legal practice. Duties Conduct thorough document review and analysis to assist attorneys in case preparation. Prepare legal documents, including contracts and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws. Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and accessible. Assist in interviewing clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for cases. Provide executive administrative support to attorneys as needed, including scheduling meetings and managing calendars. Research legal precedents and relevant laws to support ongoing cases. Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective communication and workflow within the legal department. Experience Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment. Strong knowledge of document review processes and legal terminology. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in using legal research tools and software is a plus. Successful completion of a Paralegal Studies program and/or a paralegal certificate is a plus. Prefer three to five years of paralegal or equivalent experience under the supervision of an attorney.
