Summary of Position :
This position provides legal and administrative support to attorneys under general supervision, including coordinating with court clerks, communicating with consumers, and preparing judgments and post-judgment documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proofread and edit legal documents and other written materials to ensure accuracy and completeness. Utilize technical resources and information to prepare Judgments and post Judgment documents Correspond with various court personnel, local counsel, and adversary attorneys. Greet and assist consumers making in-office payments towards outstanding balances. Interact with consumers who come to the office to pay balances in person. Perform other related duties as assigned by attorney(s). Responsible for performing administrative tasks related to the lawsuit process, including document preparation, filing, and tracking deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional services setting. Basic understanding of litigation legal process preferred. Minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited college preferred. Proven ability to work within a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to analyze, problem solve, and multi-task. Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately.
