A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

LEGAL OFFICE ASSISTANT/PARALEGAL
We are looking for a Legal Office Assistant/Paralegal to daily manage our front desk and clients' case files.
LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/PARALEGAL DUTIES
Welcoming all clients and visitors at the front desk. Handling all incoming and outgoing calls. Requesting medical records, legal documents, and records. Scheduling and preparing for meetings, hearings, mediation, and appointments. Managing clients' files, drafting legal documents, and filing motions. Interviewing clients and organizing clients' files.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Prior similar work experience is preferred. Ability to speak the Spanish Language is a definite asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Solid written and verbal communication skills is a must. Excellent organizational skills, multitasking skills, and time-management skills. Experience in fast paced environment and the ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and tight timelines. High school degree is required. Bottom of Form
