S peaks Law Firm is seeking an experienced high volume Personal Injury Case Manager (Paralegal) to join our Wilmington team. Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience working with a high volume of personal injury claims in NC. No phone calls or recruiter inquiries please. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects Drafting of legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures Research and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items Ability to demonstrate key performance indicators and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervisory oversight Monitor & manage client's medical treatment Send requests for information including medical records & billing Maintain/organize client files Preparation and filing of general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits into Case Management Software Understand subrogation liens & disputing unrelated charges Complete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portals
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Two (2) plus years of experience working with NC personal injury claims Passion for advocating for our clients and maintaining a positive attitude Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Intermediate computer skills Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and colleagues
Preferred:
