π Winston-Salem, NC π Full-Time | On-Premises | 37.5 Hours Per Week A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support attorneys within its commercial bankruptcy and litigation practice groups. This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in producing high-quality work. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, professional, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys within bankruptcy and litigation practices Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence Prepare and file documents in federal, state, and appellate courts using CM/ECF and eCourts platforms Ensure timely and accurate service of filed documents in compliance with applicable court rules Maintain organized electronic and physical case files and manage calendaring/deadline systems Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses Assist with hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation, including exhibits and trial notebooks Coordinate subpoenas, discovery materials, and legal research assignments Assist with attorney travel arrangements, CLE registrations, and scheduling needs Manage incoming calls, mail, deliveries, and occasional local courthouse or shipping-related errands Perform additional legal support tasks as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience required Experience in commercial bankruptcy and/or civil litigation preferred Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree with relevant experience considered North Carolina Notary Public certification preferred or willingness to obtain Strong understanding of: Bankruptcy Code Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Local court filing rules and procedures Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as Adobe Acrobat/PDF tools Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented legal environment while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities For additional details please contact Sarah Black at (605) 513-3384 or sarah.black@gogpac.com
