Overview We are seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Paralegal / Case Manager to join our growing Pre-Litigation Department. The ideal candidate will manage a personal injury caseload from intake through settlement or transition to litigation while serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the life of the case. This role works collaboratively with attorneys, legal assistants, and our medical case management team to ensure each case progresses efficiently and every client receives exceptional service. Full-Time / Onsite Responsibilities Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through pre-litigation resolution or litigation transfer. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive communication and regular case updates. Open and manage bodily injury, PIP, and UM/UIM claims with insurance carriers. Investigate liability, obtain police reports, witness information, photographs, and other supporting evidence. Monitor medical treatment and coordinate with our medical case management team to ensure timely progression of treatment and medical documentation. Review insurance coverage and identify all available sources of recovery. Track medical records, liens, damages, lost wages, and case expenses. Coordinate with attorneys regarding settlement strategy and case evaluation. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the firm's case management system. Prepare cases for settlement negotiations and assist with transitioning litigation-ready files when necessary. Build strong client relationships through exceptional communication and responsiveness. Collaborate with legal assistants, billing, and medical case management to ensure every case progresses efficiently. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of plaintiff personal injury pre-litigation experience. Experience managing a personal injury caseload. Strong understanding of New Jersey automobile insurance claims, PIP, and bodily injury claims. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple cases in a fast-paced environment. Experience using legal case management software (CloudLex experience preferred). Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required. Compensation The base salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based upon experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
