In this vital role, you will support land use and zoning projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Your expertise will help facilitate complex land development initiatives, environmental assessments, and regulatory filings. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about navigating the intricacies of land use law. Duties Assist in preparing and reviewing land use applications, permits, and related documentation for compliance with zoning codes and environmental regulations. Conduct detailed legal research on land use policies, tribal laws, environmental statutes, and procedural law to support project development. Manage project timelines and coordinate with local agencies, government officials, consultants, and clients to ensure timely submissions and approvals. Review title documents, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code) filings, and property records using systems like LexisNexis and Westlaw to verify ownership details. Draft legal memos, correspondence, and reports related to land development projects while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Support litigation efforts involving land disputes or regulatory challenges by organizing case files and assisting with document review. Utilize document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw to organize case files, track project progress, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Requirements Proven paralegal experience with a focus on land use or real estate law; familiarity with environmental law, tribal regulations, or securities law is a plus. Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to gather pertinent legal information efficiently. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for drafting documents and managing communications. Experience with legal case management software such as iManage or similar systems for document review and filing. Knowledge of procedural law governing land use applications and administrative hearings. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client communication and collaboration with internal teams. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times. Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-moving environment.
