Real Estate Paralegal Location:
Westwood, NJ We are a well-established, fast-paced law firm concentrating in residential and commercial real estate transactions. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously, and committed to providing exceptional client service. Responsibilities Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing. Prepare, review, and coordinate closing documents. Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, real estate agents, municipal offices, and opposing counsel. Order and review title commitments, surveys, municipal searches, tax information, and payoff statements. Coordinate inspections, certificates of occupancy, smoke detector certifications, and other closing requirements. Prepare closing statements, settlement documents, deeds, affidavits, and transfer documents. Schedule and coordinate closings while ensuring all deadlines are met. Maintain electronic and physical case files. Track contingency dates, contractual deadlines, and post-closing matters. Provide administrative and paralegal support to the attorney as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience as a real estate paralegal in a law firm. Strong knowledge of New Jersey residential and commercial real estate transactions preferred. Familiarity with title review, municipal requirements, and closing procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize workload and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and document management systems. Preferred Skills Strong client service orientation. Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple files with minimal supervision. Problem-solving mindset and ability to anticipate issues before closing.
