A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Full-time, on-site position.Salary range:
$50,000-$60,000.What You'll Do:
Provide administrative and legal support, including proofreading, finalizing, and processing correspondence and related work products. Coordinate calendars, meetings, appointments, and absences for professional team members. Provide docketing information and deadline details to the Docketing Department in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain organized electronic files Communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, clients, vendors, and visitors while helping maintain a positive and service-oriented office environment.What We're Looking For:
Associate's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant administrative/legal support experience. Two or more years of patent and trademark support experience preferred; training will be provided for a receptive candidate. Strong organizational skills, accuracy, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities, and the capability to successfully work in a self-supervised environment Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and support urgent work matters when needed. Experience and comfort using standard office equipment, software, and systems.Preferred:
Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel; familiarity with USPTO, Westlaw, WIPO and European Patent websites.Experience with the following applications:
PACER CM/ECF
; NYSCEF & Unified Court System eTrack, HTML; Adobe Pro; Worldox; NetDocs Ability to work flexible/additional hours as neededWhat We Offer:
