Ideal candidate has a desire to learn and grow within the Department.
Responsibilities:
Primarily provide administrative support for Partner including but not limited to, opening and maintaining client files, typing and revising documents, answering telephones and emails, scanning documents and making copies, scheduling and coordinating meetings and conference calls, and entering data into the billing system. Prepare binders for submission of required documents to New York State Attorney General's Office and for delivery to clients. Provide initial review of client files and print relevant documents. Prepare initial draft of correspondence/documents. Assist with scheduling and coordinating mediations. Process monthly client invoices and send to clients. Provide additional support as needed for the Department.
Qualifications:
Must be organized and detail oriented. Able to meet deadlines, multi-task and available to work occasional overtime. Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact via telephone, e-mail and in-person with clients, attorneys, administrative agencies, etc. Strong interest in learning Department practice. Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). 1•3 years paralegal experience; experience with general real estate or real estate transactions or regulatory agency a plus. Open to training individual with paralegal certificate•no prior experience. Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
Benefits offered include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, Paid Time Off and a 401(k)/profit sharing plan. Hourly rate (based on a 35 hour work week): $30.22•$35.71 per hour, commensurate with experience
