A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a pleasant and welcoming phone personality, will be proactive with good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, strong communication and excellent phone skills. Attorneys are in court and off site often and candidate will must be self-motivated and take initiative. Candidate will work in our Downtown Cincinnati location. Primary area(s) of law are: Traffic, Real Estate, and General Practice.
Paralegal Duties include:
  • Answer the main phone line and direct calls and clients in the proper direction.
  • Take messages when necessary and ensure they are handled.
  • Screen calls and potential clients.
  • Input new clients and create client files.
  • Administrative duties for the office.
  • Administrative duties with legal documents in firms affiliated title company.
  • Copy/collate documents.
  • Check court records.
  • Keep Time/Billing Records.
  • Maintain case files.
  • Experience in Clio, MS Office, File Sharing and Calendar Sharing a plus.
  • Salary will be based on experience and attorneys are willing to train on specific tasks.
