We are seeking a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to provide administrative and legal support to our attorneys, clients, and legal team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Draft pleadings, correspondence, collection letters, and other legal documents. Review, analyze, and monitor court dockets to ensure compliance with deadlines, court requirements, and applicable timelines. Prepare, organize, maintain, and manage confidential legal documents and correspondence. Communicate professionally with attorneys, outside counsel, court personnel, clients, and other parties. Open new referrals and retrieve, review, and organize documents from client systems. Assist with managing client communications, contacts, and email correspondence. Prepare and electronically file documents with state and federal courts, as applicable. Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files. Retire and dispose of files in accordance with established data retention and destruction policies. Assist attorneys and the legal team with day-to-day case management and administrative needs. Prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively to a team. Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and client systems quickly. Professional, dependable, and service-oriented approach. Typing speed of 70+ words per minute. Preferred Two-year degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent legal training. Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment. Experience with creditor rights, collections, or real estate law. Experience with bankruptcy and/or eviction matters. Familiarity with electronic court filing systems and court docket management.
