127 Public Square, Cleveland Ohio Job Summary KeyBank National Association is seeking an experienced paralegal to join Key Legal's Litigation Section. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of demonstrated experience and familiarity with defensive litigation case management, ebilling, and other related skills. Provides professional legal support to Key Legal attorneys. Essential Functions Performs legal research through a variety of tools; documents, analyzes and summarizes findings and effectively presenting and preserving results. Partners with and serves as a liaison between assigned function/area and KeyBank employees, and line of business clients. Collaborates with attorneys, clients, management, co-workers, and outside counsel. Maintains case files and is responsible for the accurate and complete input of data into systems. Attends meetings with management on processes or issues that occur on matters. Acts as knowledgeable business partner providing competent and effective support to Key Legal. Manages docket of matters and cases in support of Key Legal members. Assists attorneys in litigation and interaction with clients. Prepares routine legal documents. Organizes, retrieves, and maintains legal documents. Actively participates in other daily tasks of Key Legal as needed. Education High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Paralegal formal education and/or certificate preferred. Work Experience 2 years paralegal, or legal administrative assistant experience preferred. Knowledge of, and experience with, legal documents preferred. Knowledge of, and experience with, legal ebilling system and process preferred. Skills Ability to independently solve problems and offer constructive solutions to issues as they arise. Ability to develop baseline level of institutional/banking knowledge. Strong writing and oral communication skills. Detail-oriented, with the ability to organize and prioritize work. Strong organization and planning skills, must be able to manage multiple matters, track information, and prioritize time. Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) required; able to learn internal document and case management software. Expertise in legal ebilling software (TyMetrix, or equivalent) preferred. Experience with invoices, rate approvals, adding and removing members, budgeting, reporting. Able to provide detailed, accurate, high-quality work, and keep information and documentation confidential. Ability to work independently on routine matters and manage own case load. Has a comfort level working with diverse team, clients, and management, and able to develop effective and collaborative relationships. Timely responds to emails, phone calls, and inquiries. Physical Demands General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $30.29 - $46.15 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
