Legal Secretary (Preferred) /
Legal Assistant Pay:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour
Typical Starting Pay:
Applicants with relevant legal experience can generally expect $20.00-$22.00 per hour , depending on experience, capabilities, and demonstrated skills. Exceptional candidates with significant experience or an outstanding overall fit may be considered for higher compensation up to $25.00 per hour.

Join Our Team We are a busy, growing law firm seeking a Legal Secretary (preferred) or Legal Assistant to become a key member of our team. This position serves as an important bridge between our paralegal staff and administrative staff , helping keep cases moving efficiently while ensuring our attorneys receive the support they need. Our firm maintains a large and active caseload, offering excellent long-term stability and opportunities for growth. While legal experience is preferred, no minimum amount of experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly. What You'll Do Prepare, edit, proofread, and professionally format legal documents using Microsoft Word Maintain attorney calendars, appointments, and deadlines Open, organize, and maintain client files File documents electronically and in person with courts Travel to courthouses throughout the state as needed for filings ( mileage reimbursed ) Attend meetings and conferences to take organized, accurate notes Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel Assist attorneys and paralegals with administrative and case-related tasks Occasionally run office errands, such as picking up office supplies, meals, or coffee for the team Perform additional legal and administrative duties as assigned What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is: Exceptionally detail-oriented Highly organized with excellent time-management skills Dependable, punctual, and reliable Professional, well-spoken, and courteous Comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment Able to maintain a polished, professional appearance appropriate for a client-facing law office Respectful of established reporting relationships and able to work effectively within a structured team environment Eager to learn, accept feedback, and grow within the firm Qualifications Some office or legal office experience preferred Strong Microsoft Word skills, including advanced document formatting Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational and time-management abilities Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required for travel to courthouses throughout the state Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Why Join Our Firm?
