A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.
We are currently recruiting Legal Assistants for multiple law firms in the Oklahoma City area. These opportunities include positions supporting attorneys and paralegals in transactional practices, including real estate and commercial matters, as well as other areas of legal practice. The ideal candidates will have recent law firm experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Compensation:

Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals Proofread, format, prepare, and organize legal documents and correspondence Assist with filing requirements, deadlines, and matter-related schedules Communicate professionally with clients, government offices, courts, and other contacts Open new files and client matters and request conflict-of-interest checks Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files Manage email, document management, and file-sharing systems Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Perform other administrative and clerical duties as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of recent legal assistant or law firm experience required Experience supporting transactional matters, including real estate or commercial transactions, is a plus for certain positions Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF formatting, and email Experience with electronic document management and file-sharing systems Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
