Job Description
Civil Litigation Paralegal A growing law firm with locations in Tulsa and Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal with at least 3 years of experience to work closely with attorneys throughout every stage of a case. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys case management, client communication, discovery, deadline management, and helping attorneys keep complex matters moving forward. The litigation team handles a broad range of contested matters, including business litigation, commercial disputes, real estate disputes, construction litigation, contract disputes, and contested probate and estate proceedings. Responsibilities Help attorneys manage active civil litigation caseloads from intake through resolution Maintain accurate calendars for court dates, discovery deadlines, hearings, mediations, and other critical dates Monitor upcoming deadlines and proactively remind attorneys of required filings and case responsibilities Draft and prepare discovery requests, discovery responses, correspondence, notices, and other litigation documents Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files Communicate with clients and provide timely case updates Gather, review, and organize documents and other evidence Assist attorneys with business litigation, real estate disputes, construction-related cases, contract disputes, and contested probate matters Help prepare cases for depositions, hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trial Assemble exhibits, mediation materials, case summaries, timelines, and supporting documentation Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and third-party vendors Work closely with attorneys in every aspect of case preparation and case management Ideal Qualifications Previous civil litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience Experience preparing discovery requests and responses Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court deadlines, and case management Excellent calendaring, organizational, proofreading, and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable communicating directly with clients and keeping them informed Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive about deadlines Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and legal staff Experience with business litigation, real estate litigation, construction disputes, commercial litigation, or contested probate is especially valuable Paralegal certificate or experience equivalent This opportunity is ideal for a litigation paralegal who wants to be meaningfully involved in cases instead of performing only administrative work.
