Responsibilities & Skills We are looking for a legal office assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties and responsibility of the legal office assistant include the following Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Greet all clients and take accurate messages (with the proper return phone number and name of the person calling) when individuals are not available, receives deliveries by courier or messenger, and received and sends faxes. Prepare and drafts legal documents for filing with appropriate entities and necessary correspondence. Shall ensure the accuracy of all documents prepared. Perform administrative duties including basic research, filing, mailings, organizes files and pleading panels, calendaring telephone communication. Data entry into Clio Grow, Clio Manage, and Dropbox. Research real estate deeds. Makes copies. Enter all billable hours completed on a given day into the designated timekeeping or billing software the same day. Performs any other reasonable task requested by the attorneys. Qualifications A minimum of three (3) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style.
Organization:
possess strong organizational, prioritization and delegation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business or legal software systems.
Team Player:
Collaborative and able to work effectively in a team-based environment, including impeccable attendance, punctuality, and work ethic.
Detail-Oriented & Problem Solving:
possess and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve problems in a fast paced, high pressured environment.
Confidentiality:
Demonstrated understanding of the importance of maintaining client confidentiality and attorney-client privilege.
