Job Description

Paralegal — Full-Time, In-Person (Danville, PA) Position Overview Moro & Moro, Attorneys at Law, is seeking a qualified and experienced Paralegal to join our team in downtown Danville. This is a full-time, in-office position for a candidate with demonstrated experience supporting attorneys in active litigation, criminal defense, or family law matters. This is not a legal secretary position — we are seeking a professional paralegal with substantive legal training and the ability to perform casework independently under attorney supervision. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. About the Firm Moro & Moro is a well-established law firm in downtown Danville serving clients across central Pennsylvania. Our practice focuses on criminal defense, civil litigation, family law, and appellate advocacy . We maintain a small, collaborative team in a professional yet approachable environment where attention to detail, client service, and ethical advocacy are paramount. Core Responsibilities Draft, file, and manage pleadings, discovery requests, and responsive filings in both civil and criminal cases. Conduct legal research, case law analysis, and cite-checking using LexisNexis or equivalent tools. Organize case files, maintain litigation calendars, and assist with trial and hearing preparation . Communicate directly with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner . Prepare exhibits, correspondence, and case summaries for attorney review. Perform courthouse-related filings and service (all within walking distance). Assist with document review, e-filing, and compliance tracking for active cases.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Prior paralegal experience in a law firm, court, or government legal setting.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program .
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software, specifically Clio .
Knowledge:
Familiarity with Pennsylvania Rules of Civil and Criminal Procedure and e-filing systems.
Competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Disposition:
Professional demeanor, confidentiality, and collaborative mindset.
Position Details Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts. No weekends or evening work.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience (expected range $40,000-$55,000 ).
