Job Description

Barley Snyder, a regional law firm of more than 120 attorneys, is seeking an experienced Finance & Creditors' Rights Paralegal to join our Lancaster office. This position supports attorneys representing financial institutions and commercial clients in a wide range of creditors' rights, finance, and bankruptcy matters. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial foreclosures and post-judgment enforcement. Responsibilities include managing commercial foreclosure matters from start to finish; preparing and processing confessions of judgment; ordering, reviewing, and analyzing title searches and related real estate documentation for foreclosed properties; and preparing and filing proofs of claim, motions for relief from stay, and other bankruptcy-related pleadings. The paralegal will also assist with bankruptcy filings and ongoing case management, handle discovery in aid of execution, and coordinate personal property executions and related processing for banking clients. Additional responsibilities include supporting loan modifications and forbearance agreements, assisting attorneys with document review, maintaining accurate and well-organized case files, tracking deadlines, ensuring compliance with court rules and e-filing requirements, and communicating regularly with attorneys, clients, courts, title companies, and third-party vendors. Qualified candidates will have prior experience as a paralegal in finance, creditors' rights, foreclosure, and/or bankruptcy law, along with a strong understanding of commercial foreclosure procedures and post-judgment enforcement. The position requires excellent organizational skills, close attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with court e-filing systems is preferred. A paralegal certificate and/or bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered. Barley Snyder is a well-established, full-service law firm with a strong commitment to collaboration, client service, and professional growth.
