Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our corporate team in Kansas City. This is a full-time role focused on supporting attorneys with a wide range of transactional and compliance matters for business entities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Remote working is available. Key Responsibilities Handle entity formation and dissolution for corporations, LLCs, and other business entities Draft operating agreements, partnership agreements, and related documents for attorney review Maintain annual corporate reports, minutes, and other compliance filings Document stock transfers, assignments of LLC interests, and related ownership changes Obtain federal and state Tax ID numbers (EINs) and manage related filings Manage and update the firm's corporate database, ensuring all records are current and accurate Serve as registered agent and coordinate service of process, annual reports, and franchise tax filings Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience as a corporate paralegal (or equivalent experience in a law firm or in-house corporate setting) No degree required Strong working knowledge of corporate entity compliance, formation, and maintenance procedures Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with corporate database or practice management systems Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment Compensation & Benefits Salary is commensurate with experience The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and other standard benefits How to Apply Please submit your resume and cover letter to Judy Cohee at jecohee@lewisricekc.com.
