A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
- Process the Judgment work load of the assigned states according to Aldridge Pite procedures, internal goals and client/insurer/investor requirements.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions and agreements.
- Electronically file pleadings within strict deadlines and manage/organize high volume incoming electronically filed pleadings
- Prepare correspondence.
- Proof legal forms and documents for accuracy.
- Organize and track case files.
- Provide timely responses/updates to clients
- Communicate with courts, title vendors and other third parties
- Monitor and handle Judgment related tasks for the judicial foreclosure caseload assigned
- Ensure that billing is completed in a timely manner at all billable events and milestones
- Handle other projects or tasks assigned Job Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- At least 1 year experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
- Judicial foreclosure service experience highly preferred
- Paralegal certificate a plus but not required. Prefer knowledge of multi-state process of service in a judicial environment. General Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of legal principles, legal research techniques and legal terminology.
- In depth knowledge of government regulations.
- Relevant computer knowledge and experience.
