Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Job Overview Looking to hire a part-time and flexible Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support a solo attorney manage case files. Must have 5 years prior civil law experience, preferably in personal injury law. Bilingual is a plus, but not necessary. Prepare documents, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Duties Light phones and assist with new Client Intake Calls and sign ups, as needed. Monitor calendar and other pertinent dates.

Pre-litigation:

letters of rep, order medical records, gather liens and other pertinient documents, keep file organized for easy access,

Litigation:

file pleadings, discovery set up, serve documents, set up depositions. Manage and organize case files for easy access. Coordinate meetings, dates, and depositions to ensure timely progression of cases. Skills Personal injury or civil law background - Minimum 5 years experience

IS A MUST.

Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Partial paperless office - ability to use online programs (Filing/DocuSign). Ability to be proactive, work independently and also be a great team player. Knowledge of confidentiality protocols and ethical standards in legal practice. Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
