Job Description

Job Summary A legal services organization in Melbourne, FL is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant or Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling employment defense litigation. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with strong defense litigation experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a busy litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative legal team that values professionalism, dependability, and high-quality work. The environment is well-suited for someone who enjoys taking ownership of case support, working closely with attorneys, and contributing throughout all phases of litigation. After training, the position offers hybrid flexibility with 2 to 3 remote days per week. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling employment defense matters.
  • Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial schedules.
  • Prepare, proofread, format, and file legal documents in Florida state and federal courts.
  • Assist with discovery, document production, Bates numbering, redactions, e-Filing, and trial preparation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files, assist with conflict checks, new client intake, expense reports, and attorney time entry. Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary:
    $62,000 to $68,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Location:
    Melbourne, FL 32940.
  • Schedule:
    Onsite during training with hybrid flexibility after training.
  • Hybrid schedule: 2 to 3 remote days per week after training.
