The firm prides itself on zealous representation of a wide range of clients in our key practice areas of products liability, toxic torts/hazardous substances and general insurance defense of liability claims. Our Hartford, CT office seeks a paralegal to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal and a strong understanding of legal procedures, court requirements, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and trial. Perform general administrative duties including coordination of prints, scans, and duplicating projects. Coordinate New Matter intake process and initiate conflicts checks. Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court dates. Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and subpoenas. Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases. Organize and maintain case files, documents, and medical records. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts. Prepare deposition and trial exhibits. Billing for time

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years of prior litigation experience in a Paralegal role; prior experience in the area of civil general liability litigation preferable Ability to prioritize and multitask Excellent written and verbal communication skills Deadline and detail-oriented Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies preferred. Strong knowledge of litigation processes and legal documentation. Proficient in legal research and legal software. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
