Freeman, Goldis & Cash, P.A. is a well-established Florida insurance defense law firm representing carriers and insureds in complex civil litigation matters. Our culture combines professionalism with practicality. We are seeking a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal to work directly with one of the firm's partners at our St. Petersburg office. This is a full-time, remote position for a seasoned litigation professional who can independently manage a demanding caseload, anticipate the attorney's needs, and produce accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines. Although, some in-office work will be needed to prepare for trials.

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Compensation:
Starting at $60,000 annually, with higher compensation available based on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Manage complex litigation files from inception through resolution or trial. Draft, review, and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, deposition notices, correspondence, and other litigation documents. Maintain case calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely completion of all case-related tasks. Handle electronic filing in Florida state and federal courts. Prepare discovery responses and coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents. Summarize medical records, depositions, discovery materials, and other case-related records. Coordinate depositions, expert evaluations, hearings, mediations, inspections, and trials. Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness materials, demonstrative evidence, and other trial-preparation materials. Communicate professionally with clients, insurance carriers, experts, witnesses, court personnel, vendors, and opposing counsel. Assist with reporting requirements and case updates for clients and insurance carriers. Prepare accurate, detailed, and compliant billing entries in accordance with insurance-carrier guidelines. Work proactively with the assigned partner to identify upcoming needs, address potential issues, and keep cases progressing efficiently. Maintain organized and complete electronic case files. Required Qualifications At least five years of substantive litigation paralegal experience . Significant experience preparing cases for trial. Strong knowledge of insurance-defense billing practices, including the ability to prepare detailed, accurate, and carrier-compliant time entries. Strong knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, court procedures, calendaring requirements, and electronic filing systems. Ability to independently manage multiple complex matters and competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, judgment, and follow-through. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Professional, dependable, accountable, and comfortable working directly with a partner. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting a trial attorney or law firm partner. Experience with personal injury, automobile negligence, premises liability, property damage, construction defect, or other civil defense matters. Insurance defense litigation experience. Experience preparing for and assisting with jury trials. Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred but not required.
