Job Description
Litigation Paralegal - Collections Summary We're a growing, long-standing law firm searching for a Litigation Paralegal to support our Banking & Finance Litigation Group with a specific focus on collections and foreclosure matters. This is a great opportunity for someone to make the position their own, have a large amount of latitude/authority, and to gain meaningful experience in other practice areas of the firm. This is a direct hire or permanent position paying the hourly equivalent of $65-$90K+ bonus and comes equipped with strong benefits. Litigation Paralegal - Collections Duties Prepare, file, and manage pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other litigation documents in state and federal courts. Support attorneys in all phases of collections and foreclosure litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation. Draft correspondence, legal documents, and case summaries. Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files using practice management systems. Coordinate service of process, publication, and related litigation tasks. Communicate with clients, court personnel, and third-party vendors in a courteous and professional manner. Monitor case deadlines and court schedules to ensure timely filings and responses. Litigation Paralegal - Collections Qualifications Associate degree or paralegal certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on collections and/or foreclosure matters in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Strong knowledge of Wisconsin and Minnesota court procedures. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to integrity, client service, and professionalism.
