This position plays a vital role in supporting attorneys throughout the lifecycle of personal injury cases by managing medical records, coordinating treatment information, and assisting with case preparation. Responsibilities Request and obtain medical records and billing statements from healthcare providers. Review and summarize medical records for attorney use. Assist with medical lien and bill reductions. Prepare settlement demand packages. Support attorneys with case preparation by gathering, organizing, and reviewing medical documentation to ensure complete and accurate case files. Coordinate client medical treatment and maintain communication with healthcare providers as needed. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and the settlement team to ensure timely compliance with litigation deadlines. Communicate professionally with clients regarding case status, medical records, and treatment updates. Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical case files. Qualifications Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook 365. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience in a legal or medical records environment is preferred. Work Schedule This is an in-office position during the initial employment period. After successfully completing the 90-day probationary period, employees are eligible to work remotely one day per week , subject to business needs.
