THE ROLE
Job Overview Happy Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Paralegal to join our team for the long term. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for the music and live entertainment industry and will serve as a key support for our executive and production teams. Your primary responsibility will be reviewing, drafting, and managing the contracts that power our events. Duties & Responsibilities Contract Review:
Participate in the review for all company contracts, including artist/performer agreements, vendor contracts, venue rentals, and sponsorship agreements.
Contract Management:
Organize, track, and manage the lifecycle of all contracts from initial draft to final execution and renewal.
Legal Support:
Provide general legal and administrative support throughout the event production process, assisting with compliance and risk management.
Permitting & Licensing:
Assist the production team in preparing, filing, and tracking applications for event permits.
Corporate Maintenance:
Assist with maintaining corporate records, managing state/federal filings, and ensuring ongoing compliance.
Research:
Conduct research on legal and compliance issues relevant to our events as needed.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
Must be a California-based paralegal with a valid paralegal certificate. 1+ years of paralegal experience. Strong experience in contract review, redlining, and administration is required. A genuine passion for the live event and entertainment industry and a desire to build a long-term role within the company. Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle confidential information. Preferred (Bonus Skills): Direct experience in the entertainment, music, or live event industry is preferred. Experience with event permitting in Southern California.

DOE Schedule & Location:
This is a part-time position, estimated at [ 8-16 ] hours per week. This is a hybrid role based at our Cerritos, CA office. We require a presence in the office (e.g., 1 day per week ) to ensure integration with the team, with flexibility for remote work on other days.
