Our firm has more than 300 lawyers across a network of over 10 offices. We are currently seeking a Paralegal for our Pittsburgh, PA office. This role is to assist in managing toxic tort databases with high-volume data entry, record creation and tracking of claims for a large client with a high volume of toxic tort cases nationally. Day-to-day functions will include intake and review of complaints, coding claims, processing settlements, reviewing claims to ensure a complete file exists for all claims, communicating with local defense counsel and plaintiffs' counsel, tracking billings to insurance carriers and preparing responses to client, external and insurer audit requests for claims, among other functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and willing to work collaboratively with a team of other paralegals, attorneys and assistants.
Experience:
High school degree or equivalent required College degree or Paralegal Certification from an ABA accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience Minimum two years of substantive experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting
