Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

The Responsibilities:
Assist the attorney with administrative needs, caseload management, and scheduling; draft and prepare legal documents, such as NOA, NOH, status updates, and various pleadings; organize, manage, and maintain legal files and documents using MyCase client management systems; schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings; conduct intake and provide follow-up calls while handling inquiries with professionalism and courtesy; proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness to support attorney filings; and assist with legal billing, time tracking, and client management.
Experience:
Previous experience working in a legal administrative role is strongly preferred. Experience with probate, foreclosure defense, wills, trusts and estates, estate planning, or commercial leasing is a plus. Familiarity with Clio or MyCase, is preferred. Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills are required. Excellent organizational skills are required; the candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively and efficiently.
