•$40 per hour Aspen Legal Services is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our growing team. This hybrid position offers flexibility while playing a critical role in supporting our attorneys and helping manage legal cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal documents and the court filing system. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our attorneys by conducting legal research, preparing documents, and managing case files. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with clients and staff are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Legal Research:

Conduct thorough legal research to support case development and provide attorneys with relevant legal insights.

Document Preparation:

Draft, proofread, and review legal documents to ensure compliance with legal standards and accuracy. Collaboration with

Attorneys:

Work closely with attorneys during the litigation process to provide comprehensive support on various legal matters.

Case Management:

Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all necessary documents are properly filed, including e-filing court documents when needed.

Client Interaction:

Assist in client intake, maintain communication with clients to gather information, and provide regular case status updates.

Other Administrative Tasks:

Perform additional administrative duties related to case management and office operations as necessary.

Desired Experience & Skills:
Preferred Experience:

Previous paralegal experience or a related role within a law firm or legal department.

Specialization:

Experience in Civil Litigation is preferred. Experience in Debt Collection is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in e-filing systems and using legal research tools . Attention to

Detail:

Strong proofreading skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction and document preparation.

Organization:

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Education:

A degree or certification in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
