Warwick, RI Job Details Full-time $25 - $35 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Paid sick time Qualifications Paralegal experience Full Job Description Job Overview We are a Rhode Island law firm representing employees, labor unions, and injured workers. We are seeking a detail-oriented paralegal to assist with workers' compensation matters before the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court. Responsibilities Independently manage workers' compensation files from intake through resolution. Communicate regularly with clients regarding medical treatment, benefits, and case status. Obtain and organize medical records, billing records, and wage information. Coordinate with physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation providers, insurers, and opposing counsel. Prepare and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents. Maintain case calendars and monitor deadlines. Assist attorneys with hearing preparation, witness coordination, and exhibit organization. Review medical records and prepare summaries. Prepare correspondence and maintain electronic case files. Qualifications Prior paralegal experience required. Workers' compensation, personal injury, disability, insurance, labor, or employment law experience preferred. Strong organizational and case management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with injured workers and their families. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF management software, and electronic filing systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced practice. Preferred Qualifications Experience obtaining and reviewing medical records. Familiarity with Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court procedures. Experience with Needles/Neos case management software. Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
