Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Receptionist/Law Firm Admin/Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This vital role combines administrative excellence with legal support, ensuring the smooth operation of our civil litigation law office while assisting attorneys across a variety of practice areas. The ideal candidate will be able to easily multitask, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional legal administrative support. We are a small town law firm - check your ego at the door because the job description includes watering plants, ordering toilet paper and going to the Post Office as well as filing, secretarial and independent paralegal tasks. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings. Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Manage case files using MyCase, ensuring accurate filing, data entry, and document review. Conduct legal case management activities including tracking deadlines, maintaining case logs, and updating case status reports. Support litigation processes through document review and organizing discovery materials for various practice areas such as personal injury law, workers compensation, real estate litigation and various other causes of action. Facilitate communication with clients via phone etiquette, and maintaining professional interactions at all times. Skills Knowledge of diverse legal practice areas including civil litigation, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and litigation procedures. Demonstrated experience in legal administrative tasks including document drafting, proofreading, transcription, filing systems management, and data entry. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette. Ability to keep the office running on a day to day basis by doing whatever is necessary.
Pay:
$600.00 - $800.00 per week
