Job Description

Litigation Paralegal Pay:
$65k - $80k
DOE Location:
Charleston, SC Position Type:
Full-Time, Onsite A law firm in Charleston is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their team. This position supports complex litigation matters involving industries such as energy, construction, manufacturing, transportation, and insurance, with a focus on general liability, casualty defense, and personal injury cases.
Requirements:
Draft routine legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses Manage multiple litigation cases from inception through trial Collect, organize, analyze, and summarize medical records and case documentation Review and analyze documents for relevance and production Conduct factual research and document searches Prepare summaries of deposition transcripts, discovery materials, and medical records Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation Maintain case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars Support trial preparation and overall case management efforts
Qualifications:
Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in toxic tort or general liability defense Experience managing cases from start through trial Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to draft professional legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with Adobe Professional and Adobe DC Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and legal staff This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative litigation team and work on high-level defense matters in a professional and supportive environment.
