Job Description

Job Description Clawson and Staubes is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Daniel Island, SC location. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of Paralegal experience, while being professional, motivated, and organized, with exceptional oral and written communication skills. Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting attorneys throughout the legal process of a lawsuit
  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions
  • Answering discovery requests and scheduling depositions
  • Managing case files and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel
  • Updating case and client information databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of all records
  • Calculating and tracking deadlines, and communicating progress, status, and issues to attorneys
  • Drafting pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, other legal documents
  • Filing pleadings in both State and Federal Court
  • Handling various administrative and legal tasks to ensure smooth case progression
Qualifications:
  • Paralegal Certification preferred
  • Familiarity with State Courts, Federal U.S. District Court, and a strong understanding of the insurance claims process
  • Knowledge of Clio case management software or similar preferred.
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment with the ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Experience:
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience
Job Type:
This is a full-time position with a generous starting pay based on experience, plus benefits and potential bonuses.
