This role works closely with attorneys and clients to prepare, coordinate, and execute comprehensive estate plans while supporting more advanced tax and wealth planning strategies. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, client-focused, and comfortable handling complex and confidential financial information. This position offers exposure to sophisticated estate and tax planning work beyond traditional paralegal responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives Assist attorneys with advanced estate planning and tax strategy matters Gather and analyze client financial information, including assets, liabilities, and ownership structures Prepare summaries and documentation supporting estate plans and strategies Coordinate execution of estate planning documents and client signing meetings Support trust funding and asset transfer processes Assist with probate and estate administration as needed Maintain organized client files and track deadlines to ensure timely completion Communicate directly with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals involved in estate planning Preferred Qualifications Experience in a tax law firm or exposure to tax-related matters Familiarity with estate tax planning, wealth transfer, or capital tax mitigation strategies Experience with estate planning software such as WealthCounsel or similar platforms Experience with Clio or other legal practice management systems Paralegal certificate or related legal education Key Competencies Strong client service mindset and professionalism Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion Proactive, self-directed work style with strong follow-through Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven legal environment Why This Role Stands Out This position offers the opportunity to work on complex estate and tax planning strategies, providing exposure beyond traditional document preparation into high-level wealth transfer and tax mitigation planning.
