Paralegal At the Lovely Law Firm, the Paralegal works on a dynamic caseload of pre-litigation personal injury cases, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist the attorneys by performing a variety of support and administrative duties. The focus for the Case Manager must be on client service, communication, and medical management.

JOB DUTIES
Client Service & Communication Conducts client interviews and insurance inquiries to assess cases under attorney supervision. Maintains regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and ensuring they understand and approve of the actions being taken on their behalf. Contacts clients at least every thirty (30) days to provide updates, monitor medical treatment, and manage property damage, meeting a 90% client contact Key Performance Indicator (KPI). Initiates an initial phone call within 24 hours of case assignment to establish client contact. Schedules attorney calls with relevant case parties to ensure efficient communication and case management. File Management/Demands/Settlements Promptly requests all necessary medical records and bills to ensure timely case progression. Maintains and organizes case documentation within the file system. Accurately records all case activity in a software-based case management system. Performs various administrative and support tasks as needed to assist the team. Prepares case files for the demand department, consistently meeting monthly demand targets. Pursues liens and negotiates lien reductions under attorney supervision. Prepares Disbursement Statements according to attorney instructions for final settlements. Medical Management Collaborates with the Marketing department, providing client feedback on marketing efforts such as TV, social media, and other platforms. Reviews all medical bills and records to ensure completeness and accuracy. During 30-day client contact, gathers and updates key information, including: Treatment status Property damage status Lost wage status Injury photos Identifies and coordinates timely medical appointments with providers for the treatment of client injuries. Analyzes and reviews medical records and billing to ensure accuracy and relevance to the case. Litigation Drafts petitions and initial discovery documents for attorney review and subsequent filing. Prepares pleadings as requested by the attorney to advance cases toward trial. Drafts discovery responses with input from clients to ensure accuracy and completeness. Coordinates scheduling for doctor conferences, depositions, mediations, and other case-related events as needed. Requirements Qualifications A minimum of two years' experience in legal services is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Previous experience in customer service or sales is preferred. Strong computer skills with excellent data entry abilities. Familiarity with case management and CRM systems is a plus. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong aptitude for writing and grammar. Salary Description $20-$22 per hour
